As Senior Designer at Pottery Barn, I owned the creative execution for the annual holiday season — one of the brand's biggest commercial moments. Each year I designed thousands of assets across tabletop, home scent, packaging, gift wrap, and digital — all built around a unified seasonal identity that scaled globally.
Wrapping a gift for someone you love.
A candle that smells of winter spruce. Baking gingerbread. The feeling of festive season.

The Gingerbread Collection began with real cookies — baked and decorated by hand in the design studio. I photographed the cookies and translated every icing detail into a digital library of vector assets, building the visual foundation of the entire collection.
Those assets came to life across packaging, social media, wrapping paper, gift sets, and retail displays. To ensure accurate reproduction across vendors and teams, I developed style guides and brand guidelines that carried the identity consistently online and across 181 Pottery Barn locations worldwide.

What started as a single cookie sketch grew into one of Pottery Barn's most expansive seasonal collections. The strength of the design drove continued expansion — new product categories, additional colorways, and eventually extending into other seasons of the year.
Gingerbread was one thread in a larger seasonal tapestry. Each year, the holiday campaign encompassed multiple stories — including Stewart Plaid, Gnomes, and Christmas in the Country — each designed to coexist within a unified seasonal world.

Scent was its own category. I designed the core holiday home scents across six fragrances and 36 SKUs — candles, diffusers, and sets — built for large-scale retail. The Twelve Days of Scent advent calendar brought everything together into a giftable moment. The program performed well in year one and expanded the following two seasons.

Gifting was a cornerstone of every holiday season. I designed a full consumables line — gift wrap, tissue, bags, tags, ribbon, and store bags — adapted from best-selling seasonal art into a cohesive system. In its first year, the line sold out. The personal care and homescent packaging was also designed with giftability in mind. Every piece was made so it could go straight from shelf to under the tree.

Holiday collections I led — including Gingerbread and Stewart Plaid — consistently ranked among Pottery Barn's best-selling seasonal programs, with several selling out in key SKUs. The strength came from thinking in systems: a visual identity flexible enough to work on a gift tag, a shopping bag, a web banner, and a social video — all feeling unmistakably of the same world.
